Nelson College
Nelson College, established in 1856, is a boys' secondary school with both boarding and homestay facilities and a senior curriculum integrated with Nelson College for Girls. Approximately 60 international students are accepted each year, with a balance of young men from many countries. Nelson College has a wide range of modern facilities, including gymnasiums, music, art and performing arts suites, computer rooms and a new international teaching centre. Independent Middle School

Nelson English Centre Ltd
Nelson English Centre is the only FIELS NZ private English school in Nelson. Students receive personal attention, professional teaching standards and enjoy the mix of both European and Asian students. Nelson English Centre was established by teacher trainer James Upton in 1995 and has around 400 students per year with an average of 90 students at any time. The school specialises in Cambridge examinations, and has a very lively student activity programme.
